Fees, Funding & Care Costs Explained Simply.
Navigating care home funding in Lincolnshire can feel daunting. At Stewton House, we believe in complete transparency, honest advice, and zero hidden costs.
How Care at Stewton House is Funded
Self-Funding Care
Private funding through savings, pensions or property
If your capital or savings exceed the current capital threshold, you will fund your own care. Our fee structure is fully all-inclusive with transparent contracts and no unexpected administrative fees.
NHS-Funded Nursing Care (FNC)
Direct NHS contribution towards registered nursing costs
If you are assessed as needing care from a Registered General Nurse in a nursing home, the NHS pays a non-means-tested weekly contribution directly to the home towards your nursing care costs.
NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC)
Fully funded care for primary health needs
For individuals with complex, intense, or unpredictable clinical needs, NHS Continuing Healthcare covers 100% of care home and accommodation fees, arranged and funded through the Integrated Care Board (ICB).
Local Authority Support
Lincolnshire County Council funding & top-up options
If your capital falls below the local authority threshold, the council will contribute towards your care. In cases where the council rate differs from our fees, a third-party top-up can be agreed.
Respite & Convalescent Stays
Short-term recovery or carer relief from one week upwards
Short breaks are priced on a transparent weekly basis, providing full private en-suite living, scratch dining, and 24/7 nursing oversight with zero long-term commitment.
